Our simple and intuitive user interface provides direct access to essential project data, as well as methodology for project planning and control. PlainPPM offers a wide range of modules such as Idea Management, Portfolio Management, Resource Planning, Project Management, Time Tracking and many more.
Does PlainPPM offer Idea Management?
Yes, PlainPPM offers a comprehensive Idea Management module. As part of our requirements workshops, we identify all necessary data, forms, and approval workflows for your organization.
Can I plan my resources with PlainPPM?
Yes, with PlainPPM you can plan and assign resources, skills, or generic resources to your upcoming and ongoing projects. The collaboration between line management and project management follows a structured process and provides information on capacity, current planning, availability, as well as resource conflicts.
Can I adapt PlainPPM to my project management processes?
Yes, with PlainPPM I can design and implement any kind of workflow, which can be further refined through a multi-level role and permission concept. This also applies to additional data, forms, and approvals in the process.
Where are my PlainPPM data stored?
PlainPPM stores all data in the Dataverse database on your Microsoft 365 tenant.
Can I integrate PlainPPM into Microsoft Teams?
Yes, PlainPPM is optimally integrated into Microsoft Teams, whether at the portfolio level or for project management at project level. We can provide tailor-made templates for all project types, set up a separate team or channel for each project, and manage your project documentation in Microsoft Teams.
What is the training effort for PlainPPM?
PlainPPM is easy and intuitive to use. Typically, we plan with a training effort of one hour for users and a maximum of three hours for admins.
Can I adapt PlainPPM to my corporate design?
Yes, customer requirements can include any design adjustment that we implement together with all other change requests on your Microsoft 365 tenant.
Can I customize PlainPPM individually?
Yes, PlainPPM is based on the low-code standards in the Microsoft Power Platform, which can be easily customized and extended. With Power Apps, Power Automate, and Power BI, adjustments in the app, workflows, and reports can be made easily and purposefully. If you are interested, we are happy to share our Microsoft Power Platform expertise so that you can expand PlainPPM yourself according to your ideas.
Can I store project templates in PlainPPM?
Yes, in PlainPPM you can define your own project plan templates, folder and document structures, and Microsoft Teams functions for each project type.
What is the effort required for the PlainPPM implementation?

What additional licenses do I need for PlainPPM?
The licenses for PlainPPM vary depending on the user role, ranging from EUR 0 to EUR 22 per user per month. The licenses include the PlainPPM usage fee as well as the necessary Microsoft 365 licenses for Power Apps, Power BI, and Planner Premium. Different license prices and existing licenses will reduce the license costs accordingly.
What should I do if I need additional licenses?
The number of PlainPPM licenses can be expanded as needed at any time, or existing licenses can be transferred to new users.
How long does it take to implement PlainPPM?
Die Einführung von PlainPPM erfolgt in Zusammenarbeit mit Ihrer IT und dauert, je nach Umfang der gewünschten Anpassungen, zwischen 1 – 8 Wochen.
Can I import resource data from Active Directory?
Yes, the resource pool in PlainPPM is ideally based on your Active Directory data. If needed, additional attributes can also be added in PlainPPM.
Can I connect PlainPPM to other systems like SAP or Jira?
Yes, PlainPPM makes use of Microsoft 365 standard connectors for data exchange with many different systems such as SAP, Jira, or DevOps.
Can I import data from Microsoft Excel?
PlainPPM relies 100% on standards in the Microsoft 365 ecosystem. Therefore all data for projects, portfolios, programs, resources, etc. can be imported from Microsoft Excel. Furthermore, Microsoft Project files (.mpp) can be imported as well.
Is PlainPPM being further developed?
Yes, we are continuously working on improving PlainPPM and have been regularly releasing new product versions since 2021.
